Trying to keep up

Well, it's been so long since I posted on this site, but we have been going nonstop and then on vacation for a couple of weeks (which was greatly appreciated and enjoyed). Thanks to the Texas District Home Missions department and the precious people of Victory Fellowship Church for their vacation offerings!

Above, we are still smiling after 17 years of marriage!

Vacation was awesome! We flew into Boston and then drove a van up into Maine. We were absolutely lazy while there. We went to the L.L. Bean store in Freeport, saw the Bush compound in Kennebunkport, the girls saw the ocean for the first time (it was very cold); after a week in Maine, we went back to Boston and gave the girls a whirlwind tour. Their eyes got really big on their first subway ride. It's a push/shove world there. They are used to little towns! We saw the Boston Common (first park in the U.S.), Paul Revere's house, the Old North Church (where the lanterns were hung to warn of the British coming), Harvard University, U.S.S. Constitution ("Old Ironsides"), etc.

We made it back safely without any mishaps from home or while we were gone. Thank God for the rest!

At right, a pict of Former Pres. Bush's home at Kennebunkport. This is their summer home from May until October. What a view!!! Below is a picture of his boat, Fidelity III.

A picture of the JFK Library and Museum. It has quite a view overlooking a harbor on the edge of Boston. Below, Old Glory hangs inside the glass windows from the top. This is a sideways view of it. It does make you proud when looking at it!

The girls on the steps of the library at Harvard University. Their own little taste of Harvard, since their parents don't have the means or the connections! LOL.

Sitting inside the Old North Church in a little cubicle. This is the way that they all sat. The families would purchase their little cubicle and it would be their spot on every Sunday. They had little metal warmers that they would heat up bricks to keep their families warm during the winter. The one in which we are sitting was purchased by a family in 1724.
