Phew! What a Week
What a week! From turning "40" (there, I finally said it!), to Ladies' Conference, to church this weekend, and doing more painting before the carpet goes in...
Thanks for all of the birthday cards & wishes. The beautiful flower arrangement was from Gene, Karla, and the boys. Thanks for helping make my day extra special. I love you!
The wonderful saints of Victory Fellowship Church surprised me after service on Wednesday night. They threw a "little" surprise at me! Kevin Kelly prepared a slide show with pictures from the time I was little (thanks to Mom for digging those up) to some recent photos. There was a skit about me, and then they gave me a card filled with money (it was just the right size!). There was cake, my car was filled with black balloons and wrapped in cellophane (with junebugs under the cellophane, ugh!!!). What an honor to serve such precious people and to have celebrated this "milestone" in my life with them!!!
This year we had 6 ladies besides myself go to Ladies' Conference. They all enjoyed themselves and being around each other. It is a time that you "really" get to know one another. We were privileged to have Karen Prince go along with us. Of course, it is always wonderful to see the ladies from my home church.
We had a wonderful service yesterday. A visiting minister from headquarters was with us. He goes around encouraging home missionaries and just checking to see how things are going. What a blessing! We baptized the young teenager that received the Holy Ghost a couple of weeks ago. God is continuing to do awesome things!
Yesterday, the sanctuary was emptied out again (hopefully for the last time) to prepare for the carpet going in on Wednesday and Thursday. Keith wasn't very happy about having to cancel service on Wednesday night, but the carpet wasn't coming in until Tuesday and the carpet layers were busy Friday and Saturday. The wallpaper lady will be hanging the mural and the border in the nursery this afternoon. It's all coming together finally. We will finish out the fellowship area sometime after Easter.
Stay tuned for more updates from the Clark household!
