Because of the Times 2007
It's so good to be home!!! What an awesome time we had at BOTT in Alexandria, LA. Thanks, Gene, for checking up on us to see if we were okay. It's nice to be missed!
I was wondering if we were going to be able to go, but inspite of the weather, we made it down there safely and back. It didn't ice over here until we had already left.
We were able to attend their workshops on Tuesday, and then the services through Thursday night. There is no way to describe God's presence that was there. The shouting and dancing were wonderful, but there was a much deeper undercurrent of His presence than I have ever felt before. My little brain cannot even begin to desribe our infinite God! The central message that God seemed to want to convey to all who were there, was that we the church must move to a higher level in Him if we desire to see a return to the Apostolic power of the New Testament Church.
They put on a banquet for the foreign and home missionaries on Wednesday afternoon, after the services. It was so nice, and they outdid themselves with the food and the personal service. We were presented handkerchiefs that had been embroidered by a lady in their church, and then prayed over by Bro. G.A. Mangun (they said he spent several days in prayer over them). We sat at a table with three other couples. They were all from up north. It's great to be able to be around others who are in the same "boat" that you are. We so enjoyed ourselves.

It was great to be able to go, but I am so looking forward to crawling into my own bed tonight. Maybe it's age and maybe it's not, but there is no motel bed that even comes close to comparing to your own!

I'm so glad (and so jealous) that y'all got to go to BOTT. One of these years we are going to be there. Glad y'all are home. We've missed your posts!
Welcome home and so glad that y'all got to go to BOTT. So many fond memories come to my heart of that time of year.
Yes, there is nothing like home sweet home and your own mattress.
Welcome Home, Carla! I've missed you and didn't realize where you were. I'm sure you had a wonderful time. We wanted to go but it wasn't possible this year. Thank you for reporting.
I am really glad that you had a great time! Like Karla said, we have said just about every year that we need to go. Hopefully, we can work it out sometime soon! Glad you are back and safe.
